Our Approach

HOW DMCH WORKS

A four-stage client journey, from comprehensive metabolic assessment to long-term restoration, built around your biology, not a standard template.

Our Process

The Patient Journey

This is what you can expect when you work with DMHC today

01. Discover

Comprehensive metabolic testing to understand your unique biology, not just your symptoms.

02. Decode

Expert analysis of your results to identify the actual root causes driving your condition.

03. Restore

A personalised, evidence-based programme targeting what's actually wrong — not a generic plan.

04. Sustain

Ongoing support, monitoring, and adjustment to protect your progress for the long term.

Step #1: Discover

Understand your metabolism in full.

Your journey begins with one of the most thorough metabolic assessments available in Nigeria. We go far beyond a standard blood panel, measuring hormonal function, body composition, insulin dynamics, cardiovascular risk, and inflammatory burden. This is not a check-up. It is a map of your metabolism, built specifically to understand what is driving your condition.

Step #2: Decode

A programme built specifically around you.

Once your assessment is complete, we sit down with you and walk through every result in plain language. You will understand exactly which biological factors are driving your condition, how they connect to each other, and what that means for your treatment. Nothing is left unexplained.

Step #3: Restore

Understand what your results actually mean.

Based on what your assessment reveals, we will design a personalised programme targeting the specific biological and hormonal drivers behind your condition. This may include nutritional therapy, structured physical activity, evidence-based medication where appropriate, and hormonal support, each calibrated to your results, and not just a generic template.

Step #4: Sustain

Ongoing support, so progress actually lasts.

Real change takes time, and most people who lose progress simply stop being monitored too early. We track your progress over three to twelve months through regular clinical review and repeat testing, adjusting your programme as your body responds, so improvement becomes permanent, not temporary.

Programme Tiers

Three targeted care levels based on your metabolic health needs. We will recommend your best fit after your initial assessment.

Foundation Metabolic Care
Best For: For people without a current diagnosis who want to establish a metabolic baseline, identify early risk, and act before a condition develops.

Foundation Metabolic Care is for those who are not yet managing an active condition but have reason to be concerned. This includes a strong family history, symptoms without a diagnosis, or simply a desire to understand where their metabolism stands.

Advanced Metabolic Care
Best For: For people with an active metabolic condition who want to go beyond symptom management toward genuine resolution or remission.

Advanced Metabolic Care is our core clinical programme, where the majority of our clinical work takes place. This is the tier for people managing type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, PMOS, fatty liver, insulin resistance, or metabolic syndrome.

Comprehensive Metabolic Care
Best For: For clients with complex or multiple conditions, long-standing uncontrolled disease, or those requiring sustained, coordinated clinical management

Comprehensive Metabolic Care is our most intensive tier. It is designed for clients with multiple interrelated conditions, complex medication histories, or conditions that have not responded to previous treatment.

Pricing is available on request. We are transparent about costs before any commitment is made.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to book an assessment?

No. You can contact us directly, no doctor referral needed.

I am already seeing a doctor. Can I still come to DMHC?

Yes. We work alongside your existing healthcare providers and coordinate with them where helpful.

My condition is not severe yet. Is it too early to come?

No. Early intervention gets the best results, whether you are prediabetic, borderline hypertensive, or simply concerned about your weight.

What should I bring for my first appointment?

Recent blood tests, current medications, and relevant medical reports if you have them, though you can still book without them.

How is DMHC different from a regular hospital specialist?

We investigate the root drivers connecting your health issues, rather than managing one condition in isolation.

Do you work with organisations as well as individuals?

Yes, through staff health programmes, seminars, and clinical referral arrangements. See Who We Help.

Is not PMOS just PCOS?

Yes. PMOS, Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, is the updated term, reflecting it as a whole-body metabolic and hormonal condition.

I am not based in Abuja. Can I still access DMHC?

Yes. We offer remote consultations across Nigeria and internationally. Your entire programme can be managed online.

Will I have to stop my medication?

Not immediately. Our goal is to reduce medication dependency where clinically safe, adjusted gradually under supervision.

How long does a programme typically last?

Three to twelve months, depending on your condition and care goals.

What happens at my first appointment?

A comprehensive metabolic assessment covering your history, lifestyle, and clinical investigations tailored to you.

What makes your approach different from a gym or diet plan?

We address the biological and hormonal dysfunctions driving weight gain, not just calorie restriction.

I have tried before, and it has not worked. Is there any point trying again?

Yes. A failed attempt usually reflects the approach, not the person.

Can type 2 diabetes and hypertension really go into remission?

Yes. By targeting visceral fat and reversing insulin resistance, blood sugar and blood pressure can return to normal ranges under supervision.
